Faction for waiting.
I think that you should be compensated for your wait time in AB.You should receive faction for each time you don't get in. Our game time is valuable and sometimes it takes up to 5-10 minutes to get in. 100 Faction for each wait period should suffice. Please let's hear other opinions.

Hmm, this is a hard one...
I like this idea myself, as I hate the waiting times and it makes ab much less attractive (I still do it though). However, it would also make it easier to get the friend of the kurzick/luxon title much easier, and I'm sure someone will come up with a bot that tracks the number of active battles and ensures that the bot gets heaps of faction without ever entering a battle. So I'm not gonna sign simply because it will cheapen the faction titles and be too easy to exploit.

No...why not Rating for waiting to enter a Guild Battle then? GvG time is valuable as well. Heck, Fame for waiting for HoH Battle to end...
No.

Most people would just quit playing AB completely and instead just afk in the outposts and completely ruin the possibility of getting a full team where everyone plays.

Anyone who thinks that waiting for AB is fun has a problem. The key word is playing, I don't consider waiting as playing. I enjoy AB but I could be doing other missions and quests instead. It just seems to me that There should some compensation for the time. Maybe it could be added after you complete your AB as a bonus.

It seems to me that leeching could be stopped if your character is penalized
for not moving within a certain time period. Just boot after not moving for 2 minutes, it's that simple.

I think jade & amber are good enough rewards for the time spent.

So you just add an extra line into the bot:
- Target party member, press space
This is where the old suggestion comes in: Monitor the use of skills, not using skills kicks you. So you put a 3 or 4 defensive stances on your skill bar and add another line into the bot:
- every 5 seconds, use a random stance skill
Lame? Well, it's what stance tanks do, so it's not even wrong.
And the best part, if you can program a bot to hit enter mission repeatedly, you can also add the above lines.
